Should newspaper reporters be required to reveal their sources?

I think that newspaper reporters should not reveal their sources. Its bad enough that people business is already being exposed. It makes me wonder how do people feel about being in the paper, having others read whats going on in a family's life. In other words i feel like its "paparazi" of them. If its a huge thing then its nation wide for a whole week, thats news for you bringing whats on the street to paper and television. To inform everyone about everyday life in the world and in your community.
